Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable driver to join our team as a Delivery Driver. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including driver vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, unload, and secure cargo with proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure optimal functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of all shipments
- Assist in warehouse activities such as inventory management or stock organization when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; specific driver certification preferred
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading or unloading processes
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance practices
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and physical demands of the job
