Sign Assembly Worker

We are an established sign manufacturing company looking for a practical and reliable Sign Assembly Technician to join our busy production team in Gateshead.
The role involves assembling a wide variety of signage, including illuminated signs, fascia signs, trays, built-up letters, projection signs and other bespoke products.
Main responsibilities
- Assembling signs accurately from production drawings and job sheets
- Fitting LED modules, wiring and electrical components
- Working with aluminium, acrylic and other sign-making materials
- Preparing finished signage
- Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely
- Checking completed work for quality and accuracy
- Preparing signs for installation and delivery
- Working closely with designers, fabricators and the production team
- Keeping the assembly area clean, organised and safe
The ideal candidate
- Previous sign-making, assembly, fabrication or manufacturing experience
- Good practical and problem-solving skills
- Able to read measurements and understand basic production drawings
- Careful, accurate and proud of producing high-quality work
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Knowledge of LED illumination and sign wiring would be beneficial
Sign-industry experience would be an advantage, although applicants from similar assembly, manufacturing or fabrication backgrounds will also be considered.
