Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Void Property Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out thorough cleaning of vacant residential properties to ensure they are clean, hygienic, and ready for new tenants. This role offers flexible part-time hours and is ideal for individuals who take pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Duties
- Carry out deep cleaning of void residential properties, including houses, flats, and communal areas.
- Clean and sanitise kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, and hallways to a high standard.
- Remove dust, dirt, cobwebs, and debris from all accessible surfaces.
- Clean internal windows, skirting boards, doors, frames, switches, and fixtures as required.
- Vacuum, mop, and clean all flooring types, including carpets where applicable.
- Empty and dispose of any remaining waste in accordance with company procedures.
- Report any property defects, damage, or maintenance issues identified during the cleaning process.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in line with health and safety requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently within agreed timescales while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow company policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work at all times.
Skills
- Previous experience in void property cleaning, deep cleaning, domestic cleaning, or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas requiring additional cleaning.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements relating to cleaning activities.
- Full UK driving licence is required due to travel between properties.
