DBaaS Ltd is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support in Orkney and surrounding regions. The role is critical to meeting our 3-hour emergency response SLA for high-priority incidents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Attend onsite within agreed SLA (3 hours) for critical incidents
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and system issues
- Provide hands-on support for servers, desktops, laptops, and network devices
- Perform installation, maintenance, and replacement of IT equipment
- Support VoIP systems and basic network troubleshooting
- Work closely with remote helpdesk and engineering teams
- Maintain clear documentation and incident reports
- Support routine maintenance and health checks when required
Candidate requirements:
- Proven experience in IT support (2+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Windows systems, networking basics, and hardware troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to urgent issues
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
