Key Responsibilities
- Document Production: Providing high-quality digital dictation and audio typing for various property documents, including contracts, transfers, and complex correspondence.
- Case Management: Assisting Fee Earners with the day-to-day progression of residential and commercial files from instruction to completion.
- Client Liaison: Acting as a professional first point of contact for clients, estate agents, and mortgage lenders, providing updates and managing expectations.
- Post-Completion Support: Handling Land Registry applications (AP1), SDLT submissions, and ensuring files are closed and archived correctly.
- Administrative Support: Managing diaries, booking appointments, and ensuring all physical and electronic files remain compliant and organized.
About You
We are looking for a "safe pair of hands" with a warm, professional manner and a genuine interest in property law.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a Residential Conveyancing department is essential.
- Technical Skills: Fast and accurate audio typing speeds and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Case Management Systems.
- Organization: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet strict completion deadlines.
- Communication: A friendly, helpful telephone manner and the ability to build rapport with local clients and agents.
