About this role
Join our highly professional, committed and student focused academic community, based at the Chichester campus. The Childhood provision at the University of Chichester consists of a suite of degree programmes including Childhood with Therapeutic Play and Children’s Health and Wellbeing.
About you
The appointed postholder will have a sound understanding of childhood in a number of areas and the ability to teach across a range of children’s health and child development subject areas, with particular specialisms considered. The role will include developing content to shape the delivery of the Children’s Health and Wellbeing programme and the opportunity to teach across undergraduate programmes.
Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical experience and/or research to support high quality learning and teaching, experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to our students.

You will work within the team to strengthen the distinctiveness of the University’s student experience as high-quality, personalised, accessible and aspirational. You’ll need to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and positively within a small academic team, excellent teaching methods with the ability to develop a variety of approaches to learning and teaching that is student-centred, inclusive and flexible.
