Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Check in with guests throughout their experience to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Handle payments accurately, including cash and card transactions, adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, stations, and side stations.
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling and storage of food items.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key
- Basic maths skills for processing payments accurately.
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy service hours.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximise guest satisfaction and sales.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the establishment’s operating hours.
