Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Serve customers with a friendly attitude, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide correct change using basic math skills.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Assist in managing stock levels, restocking supplies, and rotating inventory as needed.
- Support team members during busy periods by multitasking effectively and maintaining a positive attitude.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen work, with a good understanding of food safety practices.
- Previous restaurant or serving experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during peak hours.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling cash register operations accurately.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques related to fish and chip preparation is a plus.
- A proactive approach to upselling menu items to maximise sales opportunities.
This position will initially be an Assistant role, providing support with the day-to-day running of the fish and chip shop. Full training will be provided, with the aim of progressing into the senior role of Fish and Chips Shop, taking responsibility for the overall operation and management of the business.
Pay: £1,800.00-£2,500.00 per month
