Alongside our hydraulic engineering services, we are also a specialist supplier of industrial radio remote control systems, supporting customers across a wide range of industries.
The opportunity
Due to continued growth, we're looking for a practical and enthusiastic Electronic Maintenance Engineer to join our technical team. This is a hands-on role covering building, testing, fault-finding, repair, servicing and commissioning of specialist electronic equipment.
Ideally, you'll already have experience working with industrial radio remote control systems or similar technology. However, we're also open to experienced electronics engineers looking to develop their skills in this specialist area. Full product and application training will be provided for the right candidate.
The Role
You'll work as part of our technical team, responsible for:
- Building and configuring radio remote control systems
- Testing equipment before dispatch
- Diagnosing and repairing returned equipment
- Servicing and maintaining customer equipment
- Fault-finding to component and assembly level
- Preparing repair reports and technical documentation
- Supporting customer commissioning and technical queries when required
- Maintaining high quality and safety standards throughout all work
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys understanding how things work and solving technical problems.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience working with electronic or electrical equipment
- A methodical approach to fault-finding
- Good soldering and assembly skills
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes
- The ability to read electronic schematics
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- A reliable, organised and practical approach
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
- Industrial radio remote controls
- RF and wireless systems
- Industrial automation and control systems
- PLCs and control panels
- Field service engineering
- Electrical installation or maintenance
