Senior Administrator – Operations Support - Part Time Role
Location: Chelmsford Hours: 20+ a week / Flexible Contract: Permanent
Are you a highly organised, detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We’re seeking a Senior Administrator to provide vital operational support and ensure the smooth delivery of our housing management and asbestos survey contracts.
This role would suit an experienced administrator looking for a position that offers genuine flexibility. Whether you're returning to work after a career break, balancing family commitments, or simply looking for a role that fits around school hours, we'd love to hear from you. We understand the importance of work-life balance and, wherever possible, can offer flexibility around start and finish times to help you manage your day.
You'll play a key role in supporting our operations team, coordinating workloads, maintaining accurate records, liaising with clients and engineers, and helping to ensure contracts are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the coordination of contracts and operational activities — from scheduling and reporting to process improvement and compliance tracking. You’ll act as the central link between clients, tenants, and internal teams, ensuring communication is professional, efficient, and solutions-focused.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and coordinate multiple operational contracts to ensure performance targets are achieved
- Prepare, issue, and validate technical reports within set deadlines
- Support KPI tracking, producing accurate weekly and monthly performance reports
- Maintain and update operational databases, ensuring all information is current and accurate
- Collaborating with the accounts team to address and resolve contract-related payment queries.
- Oversee document control and ensure compliance with company procedures and audit requirements
- Identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery
- Support the onboarding and training of new administrative staff
- Assist in tender and bid preparation by collating data and documentation
- Take the lead on internal and client-facing communications, ensuring consistent professional standards
- Provide proactive support to senior management, anticipating needs and offering solutions
What You’ll Bring
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar administrative role (experience in asbestos, housing, or construction is advantageous)
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- A proactive, professional attitude and the ability to manage priorities independently
- Strong analytical, reporting, and multitasking abilities
- Keen attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset
