Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Workshop Technician and become a vital part of our hands-on operations! In this role, you will be responsible for Repairing, Servicing, and Diagnosing vehicles (class 4) and contribute in the smooth running of the Workshop. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will help us deliver top-quality service and uphold safety standards across all workshop activities. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals eager to develop their technical skills in a fast-paced environment where every task contributes to operational excellence. Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and alternate Saturdays 8am to 1pm
Duties
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on customer vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace at all times
- Support the inventory management process by tracking parts and supplies needed for daily operations
- Collaborate with team members to improve workshop processes and efficiency
Experience
- Proven experience working as a technician in a workshop or manufacturing environment (Minimum Level 2)
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems (specific expertise depending on role focus)
- Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team
- Basic proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety gear
- Prior experience with maintenance management software is a plus
- MOT tester would be an advantage but not essential
