Berridge Waste Paper Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to build your skills across walking floor and curtain side operations while working for a growing business with genuine opportunities for career progression.
You'll be transporting waste and recyclable materials from customer sites to approved disposal and recycling facilities, playing an important role in supporting the environmental sector.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating Class 1 (C+E) walking floor and curtain side vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Transporting waste and recyclable materials between customer sites and disposal or recycling facilities.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring your vehicle is maintained to a high standard.
- Accurately completing all relevant paperwork and digital records.
- Providing a professional, reliable service to customers at all times.
- Following all road transport, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence.
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum of 1 year's Class 1 driving experience.
- Waste industry experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday.
- Start times from 5:00am.
- Finish times vary depending on workload, so flexibility is essential.
- Guaranteed weekday work with opportunities for additional hours when available.
- Nights away available.
