Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that our customers have a positive experience by offering high-quality food and assistance in their selections.
Duties
- Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and upselling additional items to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, including the display cases and preparation surfaces.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure availability of products.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is advantageous.
- Strong upselling skills to maximise customer satisfaction and sales.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels effectively.
- A willingness to help customers with their needs and provide outstanding service.
