Overview
We’re looking for a Ticket Supervisor to join the team delivering a food & drink festival & a series of music events at Durdham Downs, Bristol.
This will be a hands-on, customer-facing, site-based role. You’ll be responsible for managing the event entrance gates, supervising the ticket scanning team, and ensuring customers are welcomed efficiently, safely, and professionally throughout the live event.

Live Dates: 23rd – 26th July and 31st July – 2nd August
What you'll be doing:
- Supervising and supporting a team of ticket scanners and gate staff
- Ensuring all customers are scanned and admitted efficiently
- Acting as the main point of contact between the ticket scanning team and the ticketing provider for any scanner or system issues
- Coordinating staff breaks and maintaining adequate gate coverage at all times
- Overseeing wristband distribution and accreditation processes where required
- Managing ID checks and age-verification procedures in line with event policies
- Assisting customers with ticketing queries, access issues, and general event information
- Monitoring queue lengths and customer flow to minimise waiting times
- Maintaining clear radio communication with event management, security, and customer service teams
- Handling customer concerns professionally and escalating issues when necessary
- Ensuring all admission procedures are followed consistently and accurately
- Supporting the implementation of event safety and security procedures at entry points
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience supervising ticketing, admissions, gate operations, or customer service teams at events
- Confidence in leading and motivating a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service focus with a friendly and approachable manner
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
- Experience using ticket scanning systems or event technology (preferred)
- Understanding of age-verification and wristbanding procedures
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with event management, security, and external suppliers
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer care
- Understanding of event safety and incident reporting procedures
Contract:
Freelance role – valid UTR required.
