HTS (Property & Environment) Ltd is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Finance Apprentice to join our busy Finance Team.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, develop your finance and accounting skills, and play an important part in supporting the efficient running of our Finance Department.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will support a wide range of finance activities including cash requirements, cashbooks, weekly payments, purchase and sales ledgers, period-end processes, reconciliations, costing information, payroll administration and finance queries.
You will also learn how to prepare journal entries, support profit and loss and balance sheet analysis, and help monitor work in progress, debt and cash positions. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will be supported to build confidence, technical knowledge and professional workplace skills.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with timely and accurate finance processes and weekly payments.
- Maintaining cashbooks, financial records, purchase ledger and sales ledger information.
- Supporting monthly finance processes and period-end close activity.
- Learning to prepare journals, reconciliations and financial analysis.
- Assisting with payroll administration and responding to finance queries.
- Maintaining confidentiality and following Data Protection requirements at all times.
About you
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in finance, good numeracy skills and a positive approach to learning. You will be organised, accurate, able to manage your workload and confident communicating with colleagues across the business.
You will need:
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent.
- Good attention to detail and an analytical approach to problem solving.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- An understanding of confidentiality and the importance of handling information responsibly.
Previous office, customer service or finance system experience would be welcome, but it is not essential.

Pay: £15,600.00-£24,784.50 per year
