The Role
Kingfisher Lighting is looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operator to support the safe, accurate and timely handling of materials, components and finished products across our warehouse and yard operations in Mansfield.
This role is essential to ensuring efficient production support, despatch and customer delivery, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, organisation and teamwork at all times.
Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Operator, you will:
- Pick, pack and prepare products for despatch and third‑party collection
- Securely pack fittings and brackets onto pallets to minimise damage
- Carry out fettling and preparation of brackets and components where required
- Prepare goods in advance of collections, anticipating despatch needs
- Support electrical assembly tasks when required
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stock takes
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across all warehouse and yard areas
- Report damaged goods, near misses or safety concerns promptly
- Follow all company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements
- Communicate potential delays, shortages or issues to the Warehouse Supervisor
- Support flexible working across despatch, assembly and yard operations to meet business needs
What You’ll Be Accountable For
- Accurate picking, packing and preparation of orders in line with customer and quality standards
- Supporting on‑time despatch and collections through effective planning and organisation
- Maintaining stock accuracy and integrity
- Working safely at all times in line with manual handling and site procedures
- Contributing to a clean, organised and efficient warehouse environment
- Working collaboratively as part of the wider operations team
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Ability to work reliably as part of a team in a warehouse or operational environment
- Good attention to detail and focus on accuracy
- Willingness to follow procedures and safety guidelines
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- FLT licence
- Flexible approach to duties and workload
Desirable
- Previous warehouse, packing or despatch experience
- FLT licences (Counterbalance and/or Bendi)
- Experience handling electrical products or components
- Familiarity with stock control or inventory processes
- Experience in a manufacturing or external lighting environment
