Overview
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and inspiring Nursery Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated early years professional to join a supportive organisation where children, families, and staff are at the heart of everything we do.
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can flourish. You will lead and motivate your team, maintain exceptional standards of care and education, and ensure the nursery operates in line with the EYFS, safeguarding, Ofsted, and health & safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support the nursery team, promoting a positive and collaborative working culture.
- Ensure the nursery provides a safe, stimulating, and high-quality learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Maintain full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted requirements, safeguarding policies, and health & safety legislation.
- Monitor children's learning and development, ensuring high standards of care and education are consistently achieved.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals through effective communication and partnership working.
- Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment, administration, and nursery budgets where required.
- Maintain outstanding standards of hygiene, care, and safeguarding throughout the nursery.
- Support, coach, and develop your team through regular supervision, training, and performance management.
- Report directly to the Regional Manager and contribute to the ongoing success and development of the nursery.
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Level 2 Maths qualification (or willingness to achieve).
- Minimum of 2 years' management experience within a nursery or early years setting.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS Framework, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding legislation.
- Current safeguarding qualification.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding childcare and supporting children's development.
