We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with commercial insight to influence business performance and support strategic decision-making. The role includes responsibility for monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, business partnering and driving continuous improvement across the business.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:

Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reports.

Providing detailed financial analysis and commentary on business performance.

Producing variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.

Supporting annual budget and rolling forecast processes.
-
Managing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals.
-
Assisting with statutory reporting and audit requirements.
-
Partnering with operational and commercial teams to improve financial performance.

Supporting cost control, inventory analysis and working capital management.

Identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting, controls and processes.
-
Supporting finance transformation and system improvement projects.
-
Coaching and supporting junior members of the Finance team where required.
About You
We are looking for someone who can bring both technical expertise and strong business partnering skills.
Essential
-
Part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.

Previous experience within a Management Accountant role.

Strong management accounting and financial reporting knowledge.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable

Manufacturing industry experience.

SAP or ERP system experience.
-
Experience of budgeting, forecasting and business planning.

Knowledge of stock accounting and cost analysis.

Fully qualified accountant (AAT Level 4), working towards ACCA or CIMA is desirable.
