Quality Planner & Compliance Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Contract: Fixed-Term Maternity Cover (August 2026 – July 2027)*
*This is a fixed-term maternity cover position and the contract is expected to run until July 2027. The contract may end earlier should the employee on maternity leave return to work before this date.

We are seeking a motivated, organised and detail-focused Quality Planner & Compliance Coordinator to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in quality planning, compliance or manufacturing administration who enjoys working in a varied role within a busy engineering environment.
The Role
Working closely with our Production and Management teams, you will play a key role in ensuring customer requirements are effectively planned and managed while supporting the company's quality management systems and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out contract reviews, checking customer drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
- Monitor outstanding contract review actions to ensure projects progress smoothly and customer requirements are met.
- Liaise with customers regarding delivery schedules and provide progress updates where required.
- Maintain production planning information using Smartsheet and support production planning activities.
- Arrange and attend production planning meetings and customer meetings as required.
- Support and maintain the Integrated Business Management System in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 19443.
- Carry out internal audits and support customer, certification and compliance audits.
- Monitor environmental performance and support sustainability initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining Health & Safety procedures, monitoring activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain company accreditations including Cyber Essentials and JOSCAR.
- Support information security compliance and customer-specific security requirements.
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and employee training records.
- Provide general administrative support across departments as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong planning and administrative abilities.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or quality environment.
- Good communication skills with the confidence to liaise with customers and colleagues.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (experience of Smartsheet would be beneficial but is not essential).
- The ability to prioritise workload, work independently and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Experience of ISO management systems, quality assurance or compliance processes would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided where appropriate.

Pay: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
