Job Purpose
To plan, deliver and assess high-quality City & Guilds Construction programmes for learners aged 16–19, including learners with SEND, EHCPs, ASC and SEMH needs, developing vocational skills, employability and progression.
Main Duties
- Deliver City & Guilds Level 1 and 2 Construction and Employability programmes.
- Plan lessons and schemes of work.
- Assess learner work and maintain accurate records.
- Manage a safe construction workshop.
- Support learners with additional needs.
- Engage with employers and work placements.
- Participate in quality assurance and CPD.
Person Specification
- Essential: Level 3 construction qualification; teaching qualification or willingness to achieve; GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications)
- Desirable: TAQA/A1, IQA, CSCS card, First Aid.
- Experience: Construction industry, vocational teaching/training, workshop safety, City & Guilds delivery, SEND experience desirable.
