Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Part Time Bar Member to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all members. The ideal candidate will have good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers flexible hours suitable for those seeking part-time employment including evening and weekend work. This job is all year round not just for the summer. Must be 18 or over.
Responsibilities
- Greet members warmly and take drink orders with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages in accordance with standard recipes and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service policies
- Manage cash register transactions accurately and efficiently including cashing up at end of shift
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist in setting up the bar before opening and closing procedures at the end of shifts
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing any queries or concerns promptly
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
- Adhere to licensing laws and responsible service of alcohol policies
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
- Experience in serving or bartending roles is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Good basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
Pay: £12.71 per hour
