We are looking for someone to provide confidential, proactive, and efficient support for our Chief Executive in the delivery and continuous development of good governance and executive support, working alongside their PA. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in governance, committee administration, or executive support who enjoys managing complex processes, building positive relationships and contributing to the effective operation of a values-led organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Being the lead officer for governance support and electoral matters.
- Supporting the practical aspects and administrative requirements of governance meetings, including the development and communications of schedules for future meetings.
- Organising elections for various boards, councils and committees.
- Keeping accurate and up to date records of governance and electoral related information.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues, trustees, clergy, volunteers and external stakeholders.
- Provide cover for executive support functions when required.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience in a governance-related role.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Excellent written communication skills, including proofreading and preparation of formal papers.
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, self-motivated and professional approach to work.
