Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience to contribute to a dynamic organisation committed to safety and quality standards. Ideally we would like someone with a can do attitude and a good hand of experience in diagnostic work and can do a most mechanical jobs including : brakes, suspension, cambelts, clutches, servicing and diagnostics.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Assemble new machinery or parts as required, following technical specifications
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or cumbersome parts
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and system upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational issues promptly and professionally
- MOT license preferred
Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems and components
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Experience in assembly, disassembly, and equipment repair processes
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction
