We are a small, dedicated supported accommodation provider based in Bolton. We offer a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where young people can develop the skills and confidence needed to achieve independence and personal growth.
We support looked-after young people and care leavers aged 16–17, as well as young adults aged 18+ who may not have care experience, including those with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, attachment difficulties, and moderate learning disabilities. Our aim is to provide a steppingstone into independent adulthood through tailored, person-centred support.

About You
We are looking to recruit a passionate Deputy Manager, on a permanent basis, to join our team supporting young people (aged 16 and above) in shared/group-living supported accommodation. Contracts Available
We are currently recruiting for a full-time vacancy — the role includes sleep-in duties, with at least two staff present during waking hours and a trained member of staff sleeping on-site overnight.
The role will include a mixture of shifts Monday – Sunday, daytime, evenings, weekends (working every other weekend) and sleep-in duties, along with participation in the management on-call rota, in accordance with the needs of the service.
Key Role and Responsibilities
- Help create a safe, warm, and nurturing home environment where young people's voices are heard and respected.
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day leadership and running of the service, deputising in their absence to ensure continuity of care and safe staffing at all times.
- In accordance with each young person's individual support plan, oversee that they are supported in all aspects of daily life in a positive and caring manner, ensuring dignity, respect, choice, independence, and privacy are always maintained.
- Support young people to develop the life skills, confidence, and independence needed to prepare for adulthood, including self-care, budgeting, cooking, and managing a tenancy.
- Oversee the keyworker system, ensuring young people have trusted, consistent relationships with allocated staff.
- Support young people to access education, training, employment, and community life, helping them attend appointments, college, or work.
- Supervise, support, and performance-manage the staff team, including conducting supervisions, appraisals, and training.
- Manage staff rotas, ensuring at least two staff are present during waking hours, and appropriate sleep-in and on-call cover is in place.
- Oversee household duties such as catering, shopping, laundry, and general housekeeping are carried out to a good standard.
- Oversee the regular evaluation and review of support plans and associated documentation.
- Follow and embed safeguarding procedures at all times, remaining alert to risks and promoting young people's safety, both within and outside the home.
- Support young people to understand their rights, including access to advocacy and how to raise concerns or complaints, and oversee the handling of any complaints.
- Participate in and help deliver required training and development, including safeguarding, behaviour management, and specialist training relevant to individual needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD).
- Participate in regular supervision and annual appraisals.

Hours
The role will include a mixture of shifts Monday – Sunday, daytime, evenings, weekends (working every other weekend) and sleep-in duties in accordance with the rota system, plus participation in a management on-call rota.

Pay: £25.50-£32.50 per hour
