Overview
We are seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on light vehicles, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake servicing.
- Diagnose mechanical faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge, ensuring accurate repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to repair or replace faulty components.
- Perform equipment repairs and maintenance tasks as required to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Assist with assembly of vehicle parts or systems during repairs or upgrades.
- Follow safety protocols diligently when working with heavy lifting equipment or potentially hazardous materials.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs and maintenance activities for each vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and offering advice on vehicle care.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a vehicle mechanic or in a similar role specialising in light vehicles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Experience with maintenance routines and equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair tasks.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
