We are seeking a Mobile Gas Engineer to provide commercial gas, heating, combustion and building services engineering maintenance across a variety of client properties within the designated region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, fault finding, repairs, maintenance and installation activities across commercial, domestic gas and HVAC systems.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in commercial gas, combustion and heating-related building services maintenance.
This role requires expertise in both planned and reactive maintenance, a commitment to high standards of compliance, and the ability to support clients through effective maintenance and repair solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on commercial combustion, heating and HVAC systems.
- Carry out reactive maintenance and fault-finding activities across gas, heating and HVAC equipment.
- Undertake proactive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and performance of client systems.
- Perform new installations of gas and heating systems in line with relevant standards.
- Complete major and minor repairs to client gas and heating systems.
- Provide maintenance support across general building services, including fabric, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Participate in the client's out-of-hours callout rota and respond to emergency situations as required.
- Ensure all maintenance, servicing and installation work is completed safely and in compliance with industry regulations.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Experience in commercial gas, combustion and heating-related building services maintenance.
- Strong fault-finding, routine maintenance and installation experience.
- Background in both reactive maintenance and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
- Proven track record working within Facilities Management (FM) or building services environments within commercial properties.
Commercial Gas Qualifications (must include):
- Commercial Core Safety: COCN1 or CODNC1
- TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CIGA1
Domestic Core Gas Qualifications (must include):
Technical Certifications:
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, HVAC, or related Mechanical Engineering discipline
Registrations & Licences:
- Gas Safe Registered
- IPAF and/or PASMA
- Full UK Driving Licence (ISS van provided)
