The Water Rats, one of London’s most iconic live music/bar/restaurants close to Kings Cross Station. We are open from 8am until late – 7 days a week.
We are looking for an experienced front of house team member for our day shifts, starting at 7:30am with flexibility to occasionally cover evening shifts, which end at 1:00am or 2:00am. Will consider full time or part time candidates. Must be well presented, hardworking, friendly, punctual, reliable and a good all rounder. Experience working in a pub or restaurant setting is essential.
Waiting experience and barista coffee making skills are essential and you must be happy to switch between roles if needed. Shift flexibility + weekend availability is required. Must be willing to work over the Christmas and New Year period.
Job requirements:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary requirements are noted.
- Prepare and serve drinks hot and cold drinks including alcohol.
- Serve food.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining spaces and service station.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
- Help maintain and clean both the bar and its equipment if required
- Help put away deliveries when required
- Help set up and breakdown the bar as guided by bar supervisor
- Support the team wherever needed
- Good spoken English and writing skills
- Right to work in the UK
We pay minimum wage + tips + share of service charge (approx £1.50-£2.00 extra per hour).
