Duties
- Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs to maintain hygiene and coat health
- Trimming fur, nails, and applying breed-specific grooming styles
- Checking for skin conditions or abnormalities during grooming sessions
- Handling dogs with care and patience, ensuring a stress-free experience
- Maintaining a clean and organised grooming area in accordance with health and safety standards
- Communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and aftercare advice
Requirements
- Minimum of two years previous grooming experience is necessary
- Strong knowledge of canine behaviour and grooming techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger dogs or equipment
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to work weekends essential
