About the role
We are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Care & Support Workers to join our small residential care home supporting young adults aged 18 and over.
Our service will provide a safe, comfortable and homely environment for adults with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health needs, who require support with daily living and personal care.

Key responsibilities
As a Care & Support Worker, you will:
- Provide high-quality person-centred care and support.
- Support residents with personal care and daily living activities where required.
- Promote independence, dignity, choice and individual rights.
- Support residents with meals, nutrition and hydration.
- Encourage participation in activities, hobbies and community life.
- Support residents to develop and maintain life skills and independence.
- Provide emotional and practical support.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and support plans.
- Support with medication in accordance with training, policies and individual care plans, where required.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' health, behaviour or wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential care records and daily notes.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns appropriately.
- Work effectively with colleagues, families and other professionals involved in residents' care.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming home environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and relevant health and safety requirements.
About you
You do not necessarily need previous experience in care. What matters to us is your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

Previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs or complex support needs would be an advantage, but full training will be provided to the right candidates.
Essential requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends where required.
- Commitment to safeguarding and person-centred care.
- Ability to complete the required employment checks and training.
- Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check where required for the role.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a residential care, supported care or health and social care setting.
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care.
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health needs.
- Experience with medication support.
- Experience following care plans and risk assessments.
- A full UK driving licence may be advantageous depending on the needs of the service.
