Waking Night Support Worker

About the Role
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will provide a reassuring presence throughout the night, ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of the people we support.
Your compassion, patience, and attention to detail will help create a calm and secure environment where individuals feel valued and supported.
Shift Pattern
This role follows a 2-week rolling rota:
Week 1: Monday and Tuesday
Week 2: Wednesday
This provides consistency and regular time off, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Complete regular wellbeing checks and respond to any needs during the night.
- Provide emotional reassurance and practical support when required.
- Assist with personal care while promoting dignity, choice, and independence.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment in line with infection control standards.
- Record night-time activities, incidents, and care provided accurately.
- Complete thorough handovers to support effective communication with day staff.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and care procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to remain alert throughout the night.
- Committed to providing respectful, person-centred support.
- A team player with good communication skills and an understanding of confidentiality.
- Willing to work towards a Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- Keen to develop their knowledge of care legislation and best practice.
A full UK driving licence is preferred.

Working Hours
Waking Night Shifts — you will remain awake and on duty throughout the night, providing essential support and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
