Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced XERO Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the organisation’s accounting functions using Xero and other accounting software. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organisation with a focus on precision and efficiency.
Duties
- Manage and maintain the organisation’s financial records within Xero accounting software.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and promptly.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate with external accountants during audits and tax preparations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and organisational policies.
- Maintain organised documentation of all financial transactions for audit purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience working with Xero accounting software is essential.
- Familiarity with other accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in British English.
- Associate Member (AICB) through the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) preferred.
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
