About Us
Fortress Financial Services is a well-established, client-focused financial advice firm based in Tredegar. We’re a professional but down-to-earth team, and we take real pride in the quality of our work and the service we provide to clients.
We’re continuing to develop how we operate as a business, including integrating AI tools into our compliance and advice processes, and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that progression.
The Role
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-focused Administrator to join our office team.
This is primarily an administrative role to begin with, but it sits at the centre of our advice and compliance process. You’ll be responsible for managing the workflow of file reviews—working with AI-generated checks, tracking remedial actions, and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
Over time, there is a clear pathway to develop into a more technical role, with full training and funded exams available for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the file review process, including:
- Reviewing AI-generated file check outputs
- Logging and tracking remedial actions
- Following up with advisers to ensure completion
- Maintaining accurate client records using Intelligent Office and Excel
- General office administration and supporting the wider team where needed
- Handling incoming calls and routine client enquiries in a professional manner when needed
Skills & Attributes
- Strong organisational skills – able to manage your own workload and follow up on tasks without being prompted
- High attention to detail – comfortable working with compliance-sensitive information
- Confident using Excel (this is important for the role)
- Comfortable working independently but also as part of a team
- Professional and clear communication style
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent in your approach
Experience & Background
- Previous experience in financial services or an office-based role is preferred
- Familiarity with Intelligent Office would be an advantage
- Experience working with spreadsheets/data tracking is highly desirable
- We will consider candidates at different levels – salary and responsibilities will reflect experience
Progression & Development
This role is designed to develop over time.
You’ll gain exposure to compliance processes, financial planning work, and adviser support. Training and professional exams will be fully supported for the right candidate, with a view to progressing into a more technical role such as paraplanning.
