Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Goods In Operative to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming goods, ensuring seamless stock management and accurate recording of all deliveries. Your proactive approach will help maintain smooth warehouse operations, support inventory accuracy, and contribute to the overall success of our logistics process.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming shipments using appropriate materials handling equipment such as forklifts
- Inspect goods upon arrival for damage or discrepancies, ensuring quality standards are met
- Accurately record all inbound deliveries using ERP System
- Store goods in designated locations, maintaining organized and accessible stock areas
- Prepare items for dispatch by picking, packing, and preparing shipping documentation.
- Picking parts for production.
- Maintain safety standards during all handling processes, including heavy lifting and mechanical operations
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of stock management procedures
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklift trucks safely
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (ERP) and for inventory control
- Strong materials handling skills, including heavy lifting and mechanical knowledge of handling equipment
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as load & unload activities consistently and safely
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail during stock stocking, picking & packing, and shipping & receiving tasks
Initially this is a temporary 3 month contract.
Hours of Work : 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 11.30am Friday.
30 minutes lunch at Noon (unpaid).
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 38.5 per week
