SIA Door Supervisor
Job Summary
We are seeking vigilant, professional and reliable SIA Door Supervisors to join our team, covering a variety of venues and assignments.
You will be responsible for helping maintain the safety and security of premises, staff, customers and visitors while delivering a professional and approachable service.
This is a paid position with opportunities for part-time, full-time, temporary and permanent work, depending on your availability and our operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage entry and exit points, verifying identities and authorisation where required.
- Monitor premises and surrounding areas, including CCTV where applicable.
- Identify suspicious behaviour and help prevent theft, vandalism and anti-social behaviour.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and emergencies.
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure areas remain safe and secure.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, security checks and relevant activities.
- Enforce site policies and procedures professionally and consistently.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.
- Work effectively alongside venue staff, colleagues, emergency services and other agencies where required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence or equivalent appropriate SIA licence.
- Previous security, door supervision or customer-facing experience is desirable.
- CCTV and loss-prevention experience is advantageous.
- Good knowledge of emergency procedures and first aid is beneficial.
- Strong observational and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Physically able to stand, walk and patrol for extended periods.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Good spoken English is required to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and emergency services.
Hours & Location
Various shifts are available depending on the assignment and your availability.
Work is available across Greater Manchester and the wider North West, covering bars, pubs, events and other venues.
Pay rates start from £13.00 per hour, depending on the assignment.
