Job Summary
Must be 25 for insurance reasons. We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Part-Time General Maintenance Person to support the up keep and smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge, with the ability to perform routine maintenance tasks efficiently. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in maintenance and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and building infrastructure.
- Perform basic electrical repairs, including troubleshooting circuits and replacing components.
- Carry out welding tasks as required to repair or fabricate parts.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any significant repairs needed.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment or systems following safety standards.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Support supervising staff in organising maintenance schedules and tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical work, and welding.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with practical skills in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while prioritising safety standards.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a proactive attitude towards problem resolution.
