An exciting opportunity has arisen working within a family home. You will assist a female wheelchair user with household duties, some personal care & general daily support like shopping, exercise sessions at Salt Ayre and days out. It would be wonderful if you have an interest in DIY and gardening. You must be reliable, organised & enjoy the hustle and bustle of a varied day full of fun and laughter.
There is the possibilty of extra hours and you would also be expected to cover hoiday periods with suficient notice.
The work is fun, flexible and highly rewarding. You will assist to make a real difference to the lives of the family.
You should be able to handle the physical skills of pushing a wheelchair, some lifting, handling, and bending.
The days of work are currently Tuesday, Friday & Sunday.
Day to Day duties
· Help preparing and cooking of fresh food.
· General housework, including the cleaning and dusting of rooms, furniture and fitments and other household maintenance.
· Personal care & aid with dressing
· Laundry duties; ie: washing, ironing, and putting away of clothing.
· Making and changing of beds.
· Shopping for food and other items.
· Running errands as necessary.
· Assist with the opening of Medication packaging to access medicines.
· Assistance in and out of car
· Assistant with home exercise, physiotherapy & hydro appointments
· Light gardening
· Accompanying to appointments, events and activities
· Driving licence required and use of vehicle
Note: All needs will vary daily and the Support Buddy / Care Assistant’s duties and tasks will fluctuate accordingly.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
