Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. Duties
- Record and maintain financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries as required.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain organised records of receipts, invoices, and other financial documents.
- Collaborate with external accountants or auditors during audits or financial reviews.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and organisational policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably using QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using various accounting software packages and MS Office applications.
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and external partners as needed.
- Prior experience in managing accounts payable is desirable but not essential.
- A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is advantageous but not mandatory.
