We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Female Domiciliary Care Worker to join our team supporting service users in Harlow, Essex and the surrounding areas.
Female Care Worker – Genuine Occupational Requirement
This position is open to female applicants only.
Due to the nature of the care and personal-care duties involved, and the specific requirements and preferences of the service users being supported, this role is subject to a genuine occupational requirement for a female care worker.
About the Role
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to service users in their own homes and within the community.
Your duties may include:
- Providing personal care while maintaining dignity, privacy and respect.
- Supporting with washing, bathing, dressing and personal hygiene.
- Supporting with toileting and continence care.
- Preparing meals and supporting with eating and drinking.
- Supporting with medication in accordance with care plans and your training and competency.
- Supporting mobility and transfers in accordance with individual moving and handling plans.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Supporting service users to maintain their independence.
- Supporting service users within the community where required.
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments.
- Completing accurate care records following visits.
- Reporting changes in a service user's health, wellbeing or circumstances.
- Following safeguarding, confidentiality, infection control and health and safety procedures.
- Working professionally with service users, relatives, colleagues and other professionals.
About You

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within the care sector.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
- Good spoken and written English sufficient to communicate safely and effectively with service users and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Willingness to complete mandatory training.
- Successful DBS and reference checks.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
- Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent.
- Previous domiciliary care experience.
- Experience supporting people living with dementia.
- Experience with personal care, medication or moving and handling.
- Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care.
- Previous experience working within a CQC-regulated care environment.
Pay
PAYE: £13.50 per hour
Self-Employed: -£14.50 per hour
Hours will vary according to the needs of our service users and available care packages.
