Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Café Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to quality standards.
- Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and other light snacks.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts.
- Support team members during busy periods to deliver efficient service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience or background in serving food and beverages is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is essential.
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for cash handling purposes.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
- Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Friendly attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
