Carpenter – Heritage & Traditional Buildings

We are a well-established team of heritage builders working on traditional and listed properties. We take pride in high-quality craftsmanship, sympathetic repairs, and a strong team ethic. We are now looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team and take a leading role on site.
The Role
This is a hands-on position for a skilled carpenter who is confident working independently and taking the lead on all carpentry aspects of a project, while also being happy to work alongside other trades when required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking the lead on site carpentry works
- In-situ repair and refurbishment of traditional sash windows
- First fix and second fix carpentry
- Carrying out repairs and new work in keeping with heritage and traditional buildings
- Working closely with other trades to deliver projects to a high standard
- Helping out across the site and “mucking in” with other trades when there is no carpentry work scheduled
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an experienced carpenter with strong first and second fix skills
- Is confident carrying out in-situ repairs, particularly to sash windows
- Has experience working on heritage, listed, or traditional buildings (preferred but not essential for the right candidate)
- Is organised, reliable, and comfortable taking responsibility on site
- Is a team player who is happy to support other trades when needed
- Takes pride in their workmanship and attention to detail
- Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred)
