Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician or Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accurate patient care, and maintaining a safe and organised pharmacy environment. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescribed medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment and storage organisation
- Provide excellent patient care by answering medication-related questions and offering guidance under supervision
- Administer medication labels, packaging, and documentation in compliance with legal and safety standards
- Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions
- Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and stock checks
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
* Previous pharmacy technician experience is desirable but not required (training provided)
* Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols (can be learned on the job)
* Strong commitment to patient care and confidentiality
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Good communication skills to interact confidently with patients and colleagues
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy assistance or healthcare are advantageous but not essential
