Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, and equipment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Wash, scrub, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and promptly
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support culinary staff during busy service periods
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies to prevent spoilage and maintain organization
- Support the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with environmental policies
- Restock supplies and ensure all areas are tidy and ready for service
- Follow hygiene protocols diligently to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness in the kitchen environment
Skills
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene practices
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is desirable but not a must.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks effectively
