Site / Venue / Events Fundraiser – Guide Dogs Glasgow & surrounding area
About Us
We are Wesser, working in partnership with Guide Dogs, to fund their life changing services for people with sight loss. For over 58 years we've represented some of Europe's most trusted non-profits, inspiring more than 9 million people to support good causes and raising billions along the way. A family business with a genuine family culture, we put our staff at the heart of what we do and believe that hard work should mean real rewards. We're now looking to add to that family and help Guide Dogs keep changing lives by recruiting regular supporters through direct debit donations.
The Role
You'll travel to pre-booked, high-footfall venues — supermarkets, shopping centres and other sites across Glasgow and the surrounding area — booked by our in house venue sourcing team. Once there, you'll strike up genuine conversations with members of the public and invite them to sponsor a Guide Dog puppy, aiming to bring 3 or more new supporters on board each day.
Previous fundraising experience is a bonus, but this role would equally suit someone with a background in face-to-face sales, customer service, hospitality, or brand ambassador work. Applicants will need:
- To be great with people, with a natural gift for persuasion and quick rapport-building
- A positive mindset and strong work ethic, driven to meet and exceed targets
- Resilience — taking setbacks in your stride, day after day
- To be happy to work in a different location each week
And if you're passionate about helping people, animals, or the wider work Guide Dogs does, that's an extra bonus!
What You'll Get
- A permanent contract with flexibility to work 18–30 hours per week (at least 3 shifts across Mon–Sun)
- £12.80/hr guaranteed, rising to £13.50/hr after your 100th supporter
- Daily and weekly bonuses on top of your basic pay, plus loyalty bonuses the longer you stay
- 28 days annual leave, with additional days for length of service
- Weekly pay, every Monday
- Full, industry-leading training, with ongoing in-field support as you build your career
- Paid travel to and from your venue (for divers mileage is reimbursed at 45p per mile for the first 10,000 miles
- Genuine progression opportunities within a fundraising agency with over 50 years in the industry
