You must be able to:
Work independently on a commercial espresso machine from day one.
Dial in espresso and adjust grind, yield, and extractionTexture milk consistently to a high standard. Handle busy service periods calmly and efficientlyMaintain clean, organised workflow under pressure
This role requires maturity, responsibility, and strong work ethic.Punctuality, consistency, and professionalism are essential.
About the Role:
You’ll prepare excellent coffee, juices, and smoothies while providing friendly, attentive service. You’ll also assist with gelato and dessert service, helping to maintain Gala’s high standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, fresh juices, and smoothies
- Deliver warm, professional customer service
- Assist with gelato, waffles, and dessert orders when required
- Maintain a clean and organised bar and prep area
- Follow hygiene and food safety standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of barista or café experience
- Good knowledge of espresso preparation (specialty coffee preferred)
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude
- Ability to multitask between coffee, juice, and dessert preparation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
