We currently have an exciting opportunity to join a new team within a highly reputable firm of Conveyancers located in West Sussex.
Joining our Haywards Heath office, the focus of this role will be to provide key secretarial and administrative support to two Conveyancers within our firm.
Suitable applicants will ideally have a background in conveyancing but must have demonstrable experience of working to deadlines and providing excellent client service. Training and support provided within the firm has already seen previous Legal Assistants progress to Fee Earners with the encouragement and support through qualifications and study time.
Your previous experience, together with being highly organised and proactive in the management of correspondence, telephone calls and financial information, will help you build trust and rapport with the fee earners you support, others within the firm and our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients via email and telephone, acting as first point of contact
- Draft various types of documentation
- Undertake searches using the Land Registry
- Requesting property searches using external providers
- Carrying out post-completion tasks
- Producing, amending and engrossing legal documents using track-change and comparison
- Provide general administrative support to the wider team
Person Specification:
- Previous experience working as a conveyancing assistant is advantageous but not essential
- Organised, motivated and with a keen eye for detail
- Strong IT skills, with experience using case management software
- Accurate typing skills
- Work within a team
- Good working knowledge of MS Office Products - particularly Word and Outlook
- Professional, friendly and with a 'can-do' attitude
