We're looking for a number of Best Start Inclusion Practitioners to join our Family Hubs team and play a key role in transforming outcomes for children aged 0-5 and their families across North Lincolnshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our evolving Best Start for Life Family Hubs and Family Help approach, supporting early identification, promoting inclusion and ensuring children with additional needs are supported as early as possible.
What you'll be doing
As a Best Start Inclusion Practitioner, you'll work directly with children and families, providing practical, hands-on support that makes a real difference.
You'll:

Build positive relationships with families and help them understand their child's strengths, needs and developmental journey.

Deliver targeted early help and intervention to children aged 0-5.

Support the early identification of developmental and SEND-related needs.

Deliver engaging activities such as stay and play sessions, sensory groups and family support programmes.

Guide families through local SEND, Family Help and community support pathways.

Work alongside health professionals, schools, early years providers and community organisations to coordinate support.

Champion inclusive practice across Family Hubs and help ensure no child is left behind.

Support colleagues by sharing knowledge, modelling good practice and promoting evidence-informed approaches.
About you
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, compassionate and skilled at working with children and families.
You will have:

Experience working directly with children and families within an early years, SEND, Family Help or early intervention setting.

A strong understanding of child development, particularly in the 0-5 age range.

Knowledge of SEND, inclusion and early help pathways.

Experience of partnership and multi-agency working.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

The ability to use observation, professional judgement and evidence-based approaches to identify and respond to need.

A Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Education, Health, SEND, Child Development or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Working with us
The role is based across our Family Hub network and community settings, with regular travel across North Lincolnshire. No two days are the same. You'll be working directly with families, supporting community-based delivery and collaborating with a wide range of professionals to ensure children receive joined-up support.
