Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of their designated section within the kitchen. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and standards
- Oversee the daily operations of your designated section, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items, contributing creative ideas
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen activities
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order and report any issues promptly
- Train junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Previous restaurant experience demonstrating proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Passion for culinary arts and a keen eye for detail in food presentation
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
