Production Supervisor
Reporting to: Production Manager
Salary: £35,390.76 per year
Hours: Sunday to Wednesday, Sunday - Tuesday 10am-10pm Wednesday 2pm-10pm
About the role
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Production Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of our flowers and plants production teams. Working closely with the Production Manager, Production Shift Leaders, Cut Flower Shift Leaders, and the Planning Team, you will help drive a high-quality, efficient, and safe production operation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous supervisory experience who enjoys leading people, maintaining high standards, and working in a fast-paced production environment.
What you’ll be doing
As Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly and targets are achieved. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the management of daily production and quality targets
- Helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the production process
- Leading Line Leaders to deliver high-quality flowers and plants while meeting productivity targets
- Working closely with other departments to make the best use of company resources and support cost-effective operations
- Managing, motivating, and developing direct reports
- Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on production-related issues
- Communicating clearly with staff, both verbally and in writing
- Playing an active role in continuous improvement initiatives to support future business growth
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards to promote a clean and safe working environment
- Monitoring timekeeping and attendance standards within the team
- Liaising with the Shift Manager to support the efficient operation of production lines
- Carrying out visual checks on flowers, packaging, and finished products
- Supporting performance reviews in conjunction with the Shift Production Manager
- Completing production paperwork and computer-based tasks as required
- Responding to queries from other departments
- Ensuring compliance with company rules, policies, and procedures

Essential skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a senior, supervisory, or managerial role
- Advanced English
- Good computer literacy
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Good floral and plant knowledge
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
