Natural Stone Surfaces are a leading manufacturer of stone worktops, based in Chapel-en-le-Frith and cover the whole of the UK. Due to continued growth and staff progression, we are looking to recruit in to this role for our Driffield site. Starting rate is age-related national minimum wage but with opportunity for progression to Trainee Draughtsperson / Draughtsperson over time.
The main purpose of the role is to compare template drawings with original customer quotes, noting any changes and requesting additional payments accordingly.
The candidate should have exceptional organisational and numerical skills, the ability to work well under pressure, using a proactive approach to all aspects of this role. Confident PC usage including Excel; and the ability to read and interpret drawings is essential. Any CAD experience is an added advantage as is knowledge of Moraware. Good communications are key as well as team work, attention to detail, creativity and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities are:
· Reviewing template drawings;
· Retrieving file copies relating to each individual order;
· Cross referencing working drawings, orders and Moraware (order verification);
· Repricing where necessary and updating relevant information;
· Producing working drawings for the relevant departments;
· Working to correct specifications;
· Gaining knowledge of materials;
· Calculating equipment requirements;
· Using software packages to be able to create designs;
· Returning file copies to account or filing accordingly;
· Telephone and email communications with customers and internal departments relating to the status of drawings
It is key that the job holder works to strict time guidelines and works accurately to be able to provide detailed information.
This is a full-time position with full flexibility required at all times. To support demand, start times will flex between 7.00 a.m. and 8.00 a.m. and finish times will flex in-line to fulfil a 45-hour week.
