Summary
We are looking for a fully competent, self-sufficient HGV Technician to join Ellistown based workshop. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of trailer units and trailers, ensuring every vehicle is prepared to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on all makes of HGVs and trailers to DVSA (VOSA) standards.
- Diagnostics & Electrics: Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults utilizing dealer and third-party diagnostic equipment; interpret wiring diagrams and manuals.
- Admin & Parts: Liaise with the workshop manager to secure correct components timely; ensure service sheets, and inspection sheets are completed clearly and accurately.
What You Bring to the Table
- Mechanical Knowledge: NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) and/or Time-Served.
- Work Ethic: Highly motivated with a can do attitude to keep our fleet of vehicles on the road in a timely manner.
- Self Starter: Able to achieve your days work and manoeuvre vehicles in our yard. Class 1/2 preferred but not a requirement
Working hours;
Late Shift: Monday to Friday 14:00 – 22:30
Pay: Based on an hourly rate with a late shift allowance.
Pay: £52,000.00 per annum
